Quality Assurance

Quality improvement and professional accountability are key themes in the Government's agenda for the NHS. Pharmaceutical Resource Network is committed to delivering the highest standards of practice and improved patient care by focusing on practitioner competence, fitness to practice and lifelong learning. The following methods are used to analyse and evaluate our practice critically thereby assuring the quality of our services.

Continuing Professional Development

Every professional undertaking work on behalf of Pharmaceutical Resource Network is supported to document and implement a personal development plan. The partners support both themselves and pharmacists working for the network, in reflecting on key work tasks, objectives, competencies necessary to deliver objectives and professional experiences. Personal development plans are reviewed regularly and pharmacists are encouraged to undertake continuing education activities that aim to enhance competency in targeted areas and to document continuing professional development.

Audit

In order to ensure reproducibility of professional activity by different consultants, the partners of
Pharmaceutical Resource Network are committed to the development and maintenance of robust systems of work and to undertaking a regular programme of peer review, audit of professional activity and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
